Post Shot #7

7 down, 41 to go. LOL! I took shot 7 Friday night and all went well. No major sides. I had a bit of muscle aches in my legs. I didn't drink nearly enough water this weekend and I felt it. I broke out in a cold sweat in church yesterday. Still, the sides are not unbearable. I am extremely tired. I think that WBC count it probably low. I was still able to mow he lawn, clean the house, and have 3 friends over to dinner lastnight. I have started packing up the house, in anticipation of the move. Wow, I got a lot accomplished . . . could be the source of my lethargy. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Take care and God bless,
~Lorna Doone

Hi Doone

Thanks for our news, and congratulations on your progress.

It's so encouraging to see so many having a bearable experience with pegylated interferons. I think the overall tone of the discussion is shifting, and the meds are becoming a bit less frightening. Or maybe its just me.

Anyway, good on you! Keep it up!

Cool

Lorna-
You go girl, great to hear sides are minimal, Shot #7 allready, it goes fast, My big #24 -six month shot tonight, Hooooya, I hope yours will seem as fast as mine went.

Now that you have reached #7 your body seems to adapt a little at that point and for some sides level right off, lets hope you are one, if you overdo yourself at work or play, you can compound worstining of sides, so try to pace yourself,

Neil

Gosh #7 already!!!???? Seems like you just started last week!

Girl, I think you are tired from all the work you do but during these next few weeks is when you feel any anemia (IF you have any). My blood rebounded at week 9 so I have minor anemia but don't feel it anymore.

I am so glad your progressing so well. As for cold sweats in church........well you were in good hands

Take care of yourself and I am really excited for you.

Jeannie

Sean, are you thinking what I think your thinking???

IF you decide to take the plunge, check into Pegasys. The sides do seem to be somewhat less. And actually, in my experience for talking to others, very few are having severe sides from Pegasys.

MD's seem to be more comfortable prescribing Pegintron since its been out longer and its what they're used to. I am the first patient in my gastro's office to use Pegasys and since my last 3 months have been so pleasant (for hcv tx that is....) she now prescribes Pegasys if insurance will cover it.

Just some meaningless info that might prove useful.

Take care (your a fellow 2ber right?)
Jeannie
