Heptamax Test - Hepatitis Message Board

When I was at the gastro's office yesterday, my NP said that she was ordering the Heptamax test for PCR on all her patients.

She said this new test can count viral load down to 5! She also said that at a conference at Emory in Atlanta that with this new test, they can better predict who needs to be on medication longer.

Thought I'd share what I know. (Not much huh?)

Yup, I beleive its that TMA test we have discussed in past posts, that will be cool to see that test out before our treatments end,

I serve on the national scientific advisory board for the people who make this test.

Also serving on that board are most of the leading laboratory scientists in the USA, representing the major labs.

The test is done on the new TACMAN and, indeed, it uses the TMA technology. It is the most sensitive test currently available.
