There is no immunity bwteen genotypes and you can become infected with the same or another genotype at any time, including post-treatment.
As to whether someone will get sick from this is another question entirely. Most people with hepatitis C do not become sick unless they have had the disease a long time and were not diagnosed, drank alcohol, smoked, and/or had predisposition to liver disease.
