I've read about if one should tell their sexual partner they have Hep C. Isn't there a legal issue here if your doctors have reported you to the infectious disease dept of your state? My doctor did. Boy was I ****ed. Anyway, should a partner contact this Hep C, and lets say he or she dies from complications of the disease, I believe this is murder in the eyes of the district attorney and you can be prosecuted. You certainly cannot say you did not know you had the disease because the state informs you of the report. Anyway, I just want to mention this and have someone shed some light. I'm not big on wanting to tell people I have this either, but I believe we should not pass this to an unknowing lover, especially if you really care about the person.

Very interesting. I share the fact that I have HCV with almost everyone and I will not have to face undesirable reprocussions. If they decide they do not want to associate with me, that is their loss. I see HCV as an illness, like diabetes or cancer. I can weed out any potential love interests lacking in character. If they turn away because I have HCV then they probably aren't worth my time. Funny the thought that one could be tried for murder. HCV is not a death sentence and is rarely transmitted through sex. I think that is quite far fetched, but *hey* anything is possible. I could give someone a cold, they can't sue me. I guess this can be quite a controversial topic, or maybe a good episode for a drama series.

CSI did an episode where they were looking for a dead body and found blood all over this apartment.

The conclusion was, the tenant had HCV and hated his landlord and used his nostrils to spray blood all over the apartment to get even with his landlord. Evidently you can do this if you are HCV positive. I'm not going to try that one at home!

I thought how nice of them to portray someone with HCV in such a moral and upright character.

Maybe I'm just more sensitive!

that is baaaaaaaaaaad... i've never seen anything other than bad stories about people with hcv.

what is the public supposed to think?

i was watching the man show and they gave away a statue of pamela whats-her-name made out of cheetos. they told the person they gave it to that it had hepatitis c.
