I'm confused too.

You were treated without a doctor? What do you mean by that?

Glad you are undetected, but it sounds like you are still having problems.

Anyway, welcome to the board.

thanbey

Hi thanbey
Sorry I didnt explane it Im bad about blubering and being nervious to be on here the first time. Ive delt with this for 4 or 5 years and im still learning things and I thought this would be a good way to talk to people with the same problems and just try to get better let me try agian.
I got hep c here in alabama some how. I have a few cluse but not 100% sure.
When I was 28 I moved to chicago IL, I started having back problems about 4 years later and my family doctor said it wasent nothing it could have been from drinking becouse your liver will get a little inflamed from alcahol. I didnt think it was right so I went to another doctor and the called me in 2 days latter They said it was ergent, so I went in and she said I had hep c.
I was shocked but not scared I didnt think it was cerious until reality hit and done some reading, any way She sent me to a liver speacialest and he was a really good doctor I had HMO he said I was a leavel 2 so I got on the Interferon so I was on it for about 4 or 5 months and I couldnt take it. I was messing up on my job and so I got off of it.My job fired me any way I lost all insurence
I started back about 1 1/2 year later when the one came out were you take 1 injecton a week.My doctor helped me get back in with be in charge and I took it for 5 months I had no insurence no medical help cant pay for the bloode work, and my exgirlfriend left with my daughter and moved to kentuckey, So now I have two desasters going on. On my 6th month I moved back to Alabama were family are and to be closer to my little girl and my 6 month aprovel comes up and I dont have a doctor. My doctor cant advise me becouse I dont live in Chicago no longer
I get a new doctor so my other 6 month perscription can be field and he calls me back 2 or 3 days later and says hepc dose not show up. I sort of had a back up a friend had 4 months ahead on his medication becouse of the same thing I went through he was cured so he gave me his 4 months. I might be stupid for doing this and not being monitored but I wont this to go away and I havent took it for a full year so how can it be gone he has been clear from hep c for 1 year even though My doctor said I was clean im still taking it.My new doctor set me an apointment for the 24th of oct.
My worry is if I dont have it any more why dose my back hurt im sick every morning I dont sleep or eat well I do I nibble 6 7 8 times a day. I sleep 3 4 5 hr a day but I have to lay down most of the day. I get confused real easy

The way I use to be
I use to work two jobs use to be so macanical , Handyman could do any thing so full of energy owned my on construstion company now I barley can cut my grass.
My new doctor says it dont show hep c . Ive just seen him 1 time I go back the 24th Im trying to get medicade but why do i still feal so bad for someone that dont have it for now

It is not only dangerous, but foolish to be taking interferon without the medical supervision of a doctor and the bloodwork that goes with it.

You are playing russian roulette with your health and possibly, your life.

You must do one of two things: get a doctor and put the medical costs on your credit card OR stop the treatment until you can afford to protect yourself with the proper medical care and bloodwork.

I am totally serious here.

There have been cases of people clearing the virus and staying clear on 5 months or less of the interferon. You could get lucky on that score even though the odds are against it.

I hope you stick with this board, but it is no substitute for medical care.

best wishes,

thanbey
