Hello & thanks to thanbey for clearing up my skeptical thoughts.Fortunately I'm a serious user & advocate of methadone for the last 2 1/2 yrs.and no longer have any intentions to destroy my life.I was just curious,as I've never read that before.You are totally right concerning the serious commitment that is necessary in order to weed out those who are selfish,only taking up a lifeline of a dedicated person that may die just waiting for admisssion.I already have HCV& cirrhosis,thanks to poor choices.Now in need of transplant,no more choices.

Hi Transplant..I also am on Methadone Mainenence and feel it has saved my life. Now I have another hurdle, The Dragon (hep-c). My dilemma is should I or shouldn`t I go the "TX" route. I really feel 4 you and hang in there, It has been a long road 4 you,don`t give up just yet. God`s speed..
