I'm in the U.S. and I went to a gastroenterologist here for my Hep C. I am now 9 months Post TX and continue to be virus undetectable. I too found out when donating blood.
The blood work I do is called an HCV, RNA, PCR, QN.
I don't think there's anyway they can know how long you have had it. And I don't know what it means to
have antibodies for HCV or to
have HCV.
