12 weeks is too soon to expect an antibody result for hepatitis C.
If you can afford it, molecular tests for both will give you the information you are seeking. An ELISA will not cut it at this point. ELISA is an antibody test and will not show virus.
Having said that, even if you ARE positive for hepatitis C at this point, your chances of clearing the virus spontaneously is 15% in the first six months AND new research has found that it is up to 45% in the first two years. If that research bears out (and it is good research, by the way) early treatment is probably not necessary since you would be as likely to clear spontanously as you would on the treatment.
