New to tx-very nervous, need advice and support

I am a 40 yr old male diagnosed in 91, but probably had it much longer. I am geno 1a, stage 3, 20 % fibrosis, and I do not qualify for transplant. I am starting pegitron and pills next week, and am very nervous. from what I have read so far the side effects are hard. I live alone, and I have no friends to really speak of. I have a sister who is helping me, but she is very busy with her life so I can only imagine so much support from her. I am coming out of the hardest year of my life emotionally, and I am very worried.

We have no lobby and it appears people change when they hear those dreaded words. There is no help. We do not qualify for any help as far as time from work.

Also the cost! It is amazing. even with my insurance, the cost is too much. Does any group exist that will help with the cost. I have applied to one, 'Commitment" I believe, but want to try as many as exist.

Please take a minute. I really need advice, support and friendship too. Thanks.

Hey,
Am a Brit so can't tell you much about treatment options i'm afraid.
Can offer you some support though; have been on treatment for 40 weeks now; my Xmas is coming at the end of January when i finish, it is quite wearing. But i have worked the whole time and it has been manageable. And i work with some right idiots.
Hopefully you will get some more input from here; what i always say is make the treatment your own experience; do not expect the worst cos it will happen if you do.
Take it as it comes. Maybe there is support near you? Keep looking.
All the best my friend,
Phil43
