| Re: Bending over, skipped beats and hiatal hernia~
Yeap. You may think its a skip beat but it actually could be just a muscle seizure in your chest or stomach. I notice this when I work out doing weight lifting and when the muscles tighten up I get them. So I put 2 and 2 together.
You will notice that you get no other symptoms. You don't get blurred vision or dizziness. If you do its likely because of a sudden anxiety attack because you panic.
Ever since high school, my chest and abdominal has always been subject to hernias. When the muscle seizure comes, I describe it as a short shock of electricity in my chest. Sometimes I feel tightness in my chest and the muscles would be so sore I couldn't expand my chest. So I worried.
I went to the doctors just in case. Blood work, urine, EKG, chest x ray, the whole 9 yards. Everything came out negative. They didn't even recommend a stress test. They said it was just a hernia.
If I can exercise for hours and not feel faint, then I pretty much know it isn't anything to be of major concern anyway.
