Haital Hernia - Weird helpful idea - Hernia Message Board

I discovered this idea on the net somewhere.

First thing in the morning when you awake. Make sure your stomach is empty. Drink an 8-10 Oz glass of water very quickly. Immediately hop up and down. You dont have to jump just up on your toes an back down again several times. The theory is that the water and gravity will pull the stomach down first thing in the AM, thus having the Hernia hurt less during the day.

I tried this a few days and it did seem to slightly help. Is this just my imagination? Has anyone ever heard of this or tried it?

I found your idea interesting.
My husband was recently diagnosed with a hyatial
hernia. Can you please tell me what that is and
what most people do about it?
We haven't gone back to the Dr. who diagnosed it
yet.
I am in need of some information over this weekend.
