hi does anyone else have one?
mine was diagnosed november 07

im on zoton 3omg
i get lots of wind etc does anyone else get this, im scared if getting barrets or somethin nasty has anyone had the nissen fundo op??
I DONT GET the acid comming up but get lots of wind so i know there is no cure apart from surgery i dont know what to do

I am not sure what you mean by wind. I was scoped with a hiatus hernia and they are going to do a nissen fud. in two weeks for me and fix the hernia. First scope they found no hernia. Second scope a regular hernia. Now I am told I have a large one. Lots of back pain and other symptoms.

hey kev,

I have a sliding hiatal hernia and don't have your particular problem. Are you sure it is from the hernia? I am not sure which of my symptoms can be attributed to hernia and which to GERD & LPR. I do know that surgery for this type of hernia is not routinely done unless it is extreme, causing serious problems. Your problem does not fall into the serious category....

thanks for your replys whats LPR i have been told i have reflux i had the PH test done as well as ultrasound and barium follow through the herina was seen twice

im not having pain but dont want to take acid meds all my life i saw ther hernia on my endoscope scan the doctor showed me the photo im worried though if i donnt have the fundo that i will get problems later like barrets etc

but ive heard lots of horror stories peolpe have had problems withe the nissen?

so i dont know what to do

could the wind be side effect of the medications?
