Cervical herniation
Hi - I have had 3 lumbar surgeries (lamenectory / discectomy). I now have a herniation in C5/C6 - with arm and should pain. What are the odds that they would choose to operate on this herniation. I am hearing that they don,t usually operate for cervical herniations ... Advice please.

Most of the cervical folks are in the Spinal Cord Disorders board further down on the site. Surgery once again depends on the damage and if the cord is involved. Have you had an MRI yet?

Like Jenny said, check out the Spinal Cord Disorders board.

Surgeries, including fusions, are very common for cervical disc and vertebrae problems.
