>>>>>> Hi steelhauler, and welcome to the forum, tho I am sorry you need our help.
I'm not a doctor, but I have had back problems for 27 years now. In my experience, it sounds like you do have a nerve being pinched, possibly by a herniated disc. I would urge you to find an Orthopedic Spine Specialist or a neurosurgeon who specializes in spines. These are the best doctors to look at your Mri and correctly diagnose the problem. Again, I'm not a doctor but the fact that your right leg and foot are feeling like they are asleep and you have pain running down your leg is an indication of nerve damage. Nerve damage can become permanent if left too long without correction. PT, injections, etc. do nothing but put a band aid on the problem.
Please find a good doctor, then get a second opinion. Stay in touch with us and let us know how you are doing. Right now, I'm in the same situation. Having a myelogram and ct scan next Friday as it seems that I am also having nerve compression again. It's scary but necessary to do whatever it takes to stop any further damage.
I'll be watching the posts looking for you!
