Help--what do I do now? - Herpes Message Board

I have just been diagnosed with GH. I was seen at an Urgent Care center and they just called me and told me the news. Right now I am very scared and confused. Should I take the Valtrex everyday or just when I have an outbreak? Does anyone take the meds everyday? That is a huge pill to swallow every day plus an inconvenience. Any and ALL imput is appreciated. I come to you guys because I have gotten lots of great advice off of these boards. Hugs, Krazyboy_W.

I was Dx on Wensday of last week. I am on Acilovier or how ever you spell it. And when I have an OB then I am to take it then, but no OB then no meds, However I am also taking lots of Vitamans now I know that they are good for me and my Immune system, keep that up, if i can be of any other help...let me know....

There's too much advice to give at once! The best thing to do is to read on the board a lot. In the past month or so you will find pretty much all you need to know. Don't worry, you still have a long, healthy, good life to go!
