| Re: canker sore/cold sore/herpes question
Hi,
I get canker sores as well, sometimes more than others. Sometimes I can bite the inside of my mouth and I wont get one and sometimes it turns into a terrible one and I think it just depends on what my system is doing at the time. I would be surprised if there was much of a correlation between the two. If you ever had both at once it would seem it was an immune thing, such as your system was a little weak at the time or it was busy fighting your outbreak down below that it was too weak to heal the sore in your mouth. I'm no scientist, so I could be way off base as to how these things work, but my guess is that they are definitley two totally different deals. I know I've never thought of a correlation in that canker sores are not contagious, so I figured that was end of story!
Good luck. I know I've had some bad canker sores, and then my lip swells, so I accidentally bite it and make two more where the bite mark was and my lip swells up I end up looking like Bubba from Forrest Gump... and then like I said, I go a long time with no problem. The body is a funny thing... very mysterious and everyone's behaves a little differently. Having H and reading people's experiences has only made this more clear!
take care
