Prodrome without outbreak?? - Herpes Message Board

Has anyone here ever had the prodrome symptons (itchiness, burning skin) without ending up getting any bumps or blisters whatsoever?

I've had these symptons constantly around my left thigh for 6 days now...but haven't had any sort of bumps form. Everywhere I've read, these symptons usually come a few hours, to a couple of days before the blisters/bumps.

Has this happened to anyone else? What is the longest period of times you've had the prodromes before noticing bumps/blisters??

P.S. I haven't been diagnosed yet, I have to wait a few weeks for my appointment....so I'm trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me in the meantime.

Happens all the time to me. I have only had blisters once. All the other times I just get the tingling sensation. And on occasion, I have also had the pain that runs along the nerve in the back of my leg.

It happens to me all the time and I guess in my case it does not have anything to do with the timing of an OB. Wether I have an OB or not, I feel the burning sensation in my left thigh. Some times it runs down to my feet and sometimes I feel it around my genital area.
I have ordered Nova's Oxy Therapy and hoping that it will atleast stop the out breaks if not cure the herpes.
I have also bought 1200 mg Orderless garlic pills but before taking em, I wonder what if I mesh some fresh garlic and mix a calculated amount of extra virgin olive oil to make it like a paste or cream and then apply it on the OB, plus orally take a spoon if it with every meal?

Do you guys think it will be a bad idea?

Thanks for the replies. It is driving me crazy, it feels like someone is holding a lighter to my skin, and it is practically burning all the time. On top of that, it really burns when my clothes rub up against it.

Would taking Valtrex help stop it? Does garlic pills/paste help stop the pain? Does anyone else have any suggestions? I've been wearing loose clothing and taking baths...but I am still having a hard time sleeping and am very very uncomfortable when I have to wear real clothes.

Please help...I'm new to all this.
