I have been having continuous outbreaks since then and have tried so many things except the prescribed medication until recently (which is working). My concern was simply, what to take during pregnancy to manage possible outbreaks because I can only assume from the past year that I will have them during pregnancy as well. But if I do find out that I am pregnant I will be in full communication with my doctor concerning this. I was just wondering if any of you have had any success with natural products or even the Valtrex. The things I've read on the internet concerning taking Valtrex during pregnancy makes it sound as if you shouldn't. I 'd appreciate more insight on that. Thanks for the feedback so far. |
I was pregnant & am now nursing. Luckily I had been on supression therapy prior to becoming pregnant - I think that helped control the # of obs for awhile, even when I went off. So I didn't have a lot of obs during pregnancy. I continued to take L-Lysine, but at that point I didn't know about anything else. I don't *think* I ever took any prescription meds for an ob, but I don't really remember. While nursing, I have. She was born at 36 weeks & was breach so it was a c-section anyway. But I never did take Valtrex since she came early.
