Why does it hurt!? Question about OB's

I have had a few outbreaks b4 and none of them have hurt as much as this one. But i'm not sure if its hurting because they are healing or what... This had been like my longest OB ever and its starting to hurt now more than ever, but ive noticed that they are going away. (Ive had these sores for over a month seriously & ive been going crazy)Im just wondering if you can feel them healing or if its hurting bc more are about to come out. Ive been using a few things on my sores and they've dramtically improved, but not fast enough. I have like zero patience and I need my outbreaks to go away like tommorow... an any help me please!!

Re: Why does it hurt!? Question about OB's

Jes -

Sorry you're feeling bad, I know what that's like...But, you have come to a great board for answers/information. Are you taking anything for your OB? Have you seen a doctor? I have GH, diagnosed in 10-03, but recently (within the last month) I started taking Valtrex as "supressive therapy", 1 - 500mg. tab, 1 x a day. This seems to of lessened the severity of my OB's. I also, found relief spraying aloe vera gel, down "there"...it stings for a few seconds then feels soooooo much better afterwards, it's well worth it and it's not expensive, unlike Valtrex. However, I haven't "seen" any blister, it just tingles. Stress and lack of sleep, also aggrevates mine. I hope this info. is helpful and I hope you feel better....Good Luck, -Ornament

Re: Why does it hurt!? Question about OB's

hey ornament, ive been using liquid oxygen & dmso for a few days now and seen an improvement. i also put some aloe vera on last night b4 i went to sleep. I found that it is helping heal the outbreak. but it was hurting me like hell, thats why i made this post this morning. I have GH, and i was just wondering if that hurting feeling was bc my OB is healing or if its getting worse. I really dont know much about Herpes and i dont want to go to a doctor. I really hate them!!!

Re: Why does it hurt!? Question about OB's

Jes.....

Read, read, read....as much as you can on this board....This board has truely been a "lifesaver" for me....I'm in an interesting situtation and I have literally no one to talk to about my H. (long story) So, therefore, these people have been a godsend to me. If I was you, I wouldn't try to figure out if it's healing or getting worse, that will just make you crazy! I would concentrate on making myself feel better. Thru treatments, vitamins, whatever....That's why I'm saying read....The aloe is great...I used to flip-out at every twinge....and now I concentrate on feeling better, lowering my stress and getting plenty of sleep. The whole psychological process is enough to make anyone ready for a "mental institution".....So, I quit looking at it that way....And besides....now, I'm in a group of a select few.....who, have become friends and are willing to listen and respond.....Besides, there are soooooo many worse things that could be wrong w/us. If you have time go back and look for posts from Backpacker and Movingrightalong.....they have the best uplifting, postive, inspiring posts and just reading their posts, will make you feel better. Future wise, you really should see a doctor....either a MD or a clinic.....just to be positive, H is what you have and also, find out what type. That way you'll know exactly what you're dealing with....And remember....We're all here for each other.....Take Care, -Ornament
