hello everyone,
I meet this lady and we have been talking and both of us like each other very much. We would like to take our releationship to the next level. She has told me she has genital herpes. She wanted me to know, she was afraid it would affect my feels for her. I told her no it didnt affect my feelings for her.

She said she was infected by her first husbane. She remarried again and was married for 13 years to her second husbane. He never got herpes. They were sexually active, but she said he didnt have ahigh sex drive. She says that she hasnt had a OB in 3-4 yrs. She is 49yrs old.
I just need to be educated on all the issues. So any help would be greatful.

gene, read the "Happy Couples" thread for good info on how to protect yourself. It should be on the first page or perhaps the second by now. I am with a h-free partner, too; we've been together about 13 years and he has never gotten it. Yet we've had a very active and-er-stimulating sex life. But we follow some basic rules: never have sex or do anything sexual near the time of an ob, or when I feel inexplicably tired or depressed (could be a signal of an ob);and always have the uninfected partner wash right after with soap (ours is not really soap, but Neutrogena) and water. Suds for 20 seconds!

No ob's in several years is great! Good luck!
