| Re: pregnant, herpes ob and due this week
There is plenty of time to have a Caesarean--you don't need to schedule one. Just don't ignore your labor signs if it comes this week. Go on to the hospital, taking time to call your dr first. But why schedule it? Most women don't give birth on their due dates! If this is not your primary ob, it's just a matter of a few days to heal.
Why don't you try putting garlic oil on it? Cut a clove of garlic in quarters, put it in a very small container, and cover with olive oil. Let it sit for about 2 hours. Then dab it on the area with a q-tip. Do it as often as you like. Garlic will not hurt a baby! Also, don't wear undies--just go around in your big maternity dresses. And get lots of sleep. Try not to worry. I had a Caesarean when I had my primary ob at about 9 mos with my third child. I was heartbroken not to have natural, as I had with my other two, but it all worked out fine, and now, 14 years later, doesn't matter at all. I even had to travel for about 45 minutes through DC rush hour to get to the hospital. As I said, if you feel like you might be going into labor (unusually strong Braxton-HIcks contractions that won't stop, even if far apart, like 12 minutes), go ahead and go to the hospital. Good luck! Please let me know how it goes for you!
