Discharge associated with herpes?? - Herpes Message Board

OK I dont know if i have herpes or any other STDs. I got tested at a public health office and they didnt even call me back. I had a lesion but the ***** said it was too dry to even get a sample. I asked if it looked like herpes and she said she didnt know. What a waste of $15 - I still don't know if I have any STDs or not.

Anyways - once in a while I get a random sore on my penis. I've seen it like 3 times, twice in the same spot, looked like a pimple that was just popped (no blood, just clear fluid) and once it was a little tiny sore as if I had got my dick stuck in my zipper or something. The first two lasted like 2 weeks each, and the most recent small one lasted a week (it disappeared in 2 days but i messed with it and it came back for 4 more days)

I am uncircumcised and now im getting discharge. Its not dripping or anything - it just forms some white mucus under my foreskin, and it smells bad. When i pull my skin back, theres white stuff under there.

What could this be?

If I were you, I wouldnt give up on the dr's not all are like that. Sounds liek you found a really abd one that maybe needs reporting. The sores sound like herpes, but you still need to he tested to be sure. I dont know how hte dr didnt know if it "looked like" herpes, because when my dr looked she said, I know what this is but we'll do the test to be sure! Im not a huge fan of planned parenthood, but Id go there rather than the clinic, they kinda know a lot about STD's. Dont wait, Id go back they can tell by blood testing. Good luck.

Wait, I just noticed your name, I too am in san diego . . there are soo many places you can go. I looked for the name of hte clinic I went to but they closed. Keep looking, call first tell them exactly what you want to come in for.

I went to the public clinic over by rosecrans and the 5 freeway. My friend suggested it. I shouldn't have listened to him - I ended up sitting next to a homeless & cracked out couple in the waiting room. They took a blood sample and have not called me back (they said they would call if anything came back positive). I believe they told me that you can't test for herpes with blood, she said you need a culture sample. She even stuck a Qtip DOWN MY PENIS. I'm never going back again.

Ok that DR shoudl be put out of business. YES you can be tested for herpes through blood!!! I was! So were some of the people on this board. And they say they willcall, but they dont always do.
Persoanlly I dont know your financial situation, but when this happened to me, I didnt have health insurance. And after the way I was treated at the clinics which was the same way you were, I just picked up hte phone book, called around and most dr office visits are like 50 bucks. Its WORTH IT TRUST ME. Im not a dr and Im not telling you what it IS, but to me, it does sound like herpes. Thats how they are on my husband. Kinda scary I know, but just go get checked and be sure, I coudl be sooo wrong. I knoe Dr. Leach up here in Vista is really cool, and pretty flexable with his billing, you may try him if you cant find someone in your aeas, but Dr. leach is GREAT!
Good luck, I hope it is not herpes, get checked now though seariously especially after you mentioned discharge, dont let that one dr scare you, they diagnosed my husband without ever putting anythign up his penis, promise!
