H2 orally?

Does anyone have this and what are your symptoms? My lip has been tingling like the way I get before a genitle OB. What's in store for me now? Or am I just being tingling paranoid!

Are you sure you have HSV2 orally? It is quite rare, especially in people who already have HSV2 genitally. Could it be HSV1 orally?

Sorry if you have had it tested and my questions aren't relevant!!

Re: H2 orally?

I do have H genitally, joy. This is a recent diagnosis and am wondering if proir to diagnosis this was passed all over the place! I'm going back in on Monday to get bloodwork done. Thank you for the reply!

Re: H2 orally?

OK so has the sore been tested for herpes? I assume you don't know which herpes viruses you have right now as such?

If you have a recent HSV2 infection, it could have been passed to your mouth as well. It would be unusual to get HSV2 orally if you have an established genital HSV2 - or oral HSV1 - infection.

Re: H2 orally?

I was swabbed 3 months ago for a "cut" that wouldn't go away. Thought it was from shaving. Swabbed...in/out...and was prescribed Valtrex. I'm going back in because I want to know what type of H it is down there. After reading these boards....seems to me you really have to take your Dr. by the hand to get the info you need. I've had no other symptoms aside from the little nick, and now the tingling on the corner of my mouth. I have been with the same person for 9 years and he's shown no signs of anything.
