questions

I've been reading these posts and it's been extremely helpful. I'm undiagnosed, but pretty sure i have genital hsv1or2. I received unprotected oral and had unprotected sex with a friend recently. She says she has never seen anything down there, not even an ingrown hair forever . I've never had a cold sore sore to my knowledge and i'm pretty sure im going through a true primary (an extensive and rough one as well). my question is has anyone here had a severe primary 1 infection. im hoping its 1 in the back of my mind and ive heard that 1 can cause more of a severe outbreak down there. Can i get a few replies please, whether if you have 1 or 2.

Re: questions

Well, in fact, it is herpes type 2 that would be more likely to cause more of a severe outbreak in the genitals than type 1. That's not to say that you do have type 2, as you could be having a bad type 1 initial outbreak, I have type 1 and mine wasn't too nice!

Re: questions

the initial outbreak theres no way to tell. Plenty of people get nothing noticeable with a true hsv2 primary but some get REALLY sick from hsv1 which is supposedly "milder".

aside from the initial OB, the followup symptoms with 1 would most likely be fewer and farther between. Its hard to say though. On average based on stats, genital hsv-1 tends to cause a few years of ****** symptoms and then it dies down to little.
