Is your outbreak still happening? The fatigue can last as long as the outbreak does and often continues a bit longer. I did not feel quite "right" for several months after my initial genital HSV1 outbreak, unfortunately.
It doesn't help if because of the stress of the herpes diagnosis, you get a bit depressed and neglect to eat and sleep properly - this is what I did and I know it made things much worse! - so make sure that you look after yourself.
