i recently found out that im postive, about a month now. longest and hardest month of my life. the guy who gave it to me will go to his grave saying he doesnt have hsv and he didnt give it to me. anyway, this guy that i used to sleep with is now talking to me and wants to hang out..basically he wants to start sleeping with me again. i want to but i dont want to give this to him, and i havent even told anyone about this yet. basically, what should i do

You have to tell this guy, before you sleep with him, that you have herpes, you don't want to be the same kind of person as the guy who gave it to you.

Are you on suppressive therapy? This would significantly reduce your chances of passing the virus onto a partner.

Do you have type 1 or type 2?

I know its hard to tell a guy, boy do I know. I am on supressive valtrex and I use a condom every single time and I have not given it to anyone. I did have one ex (you know the one you still hook up with from time to time) say that he wasnt sure if he wanted to now. He read up on the internet (which I doubt helped) you know the internet shows the worst of the worst and has some horror stories. Anyway that was my only rejection. Everyone else (all 3) were like ok we'll use condoms. Didnt seem to phase them.
