The normal timeframe for symptoms to appear would be within two to three weeks, but you may not see any signs for longer than that, or never see any at all, and still be infected.
Bear in mind that as oral herpes is quite common, it's quite possible that you (along with probably at least 40% of people) already have the virus and possibly don't get outbreaks.
