Yes it is possible. I'm assuming you have oral HSV-1. Well, the site of the outbreak depends on which nerve pathway the virus takes to the skin when it reactivates. Normally, it goes down the same path each time which usually takes it to the mouth. However, it can show up in other areas as well (for instance, this is how some people get herpes of the eye). You should go to your doctor and have the bumps swabbed to see if it really is a herpes outbreak or not.
If the outbreaks are really bothersome, you should consider getting on suppressive therapy with Valtrex or Acyclovir.

i have notice as well on me and my husband bumps and rash on face as well as a bump under my nose onlt the one under my nose itches. however the others do not it is anoying I go to the doctor soon i am very embrassed to even ask about the bumbs some fill with a white liquid that look like a pimple. what do you think? I was blood tested many months age and had both 1 & 2
Question when washing your face does it spread?
Herpes is easily killed by soap, so the washing will not spread it...but the rinsing might, if you rinse with a washcloth. If you touch the sore to rinse that area, then touch another area, you could conceivably spread it.
