still unsure

ok when i turned 16 i got oral sex of my frist girlfriend and she had a blister on her hand. im 19 now i i think i might have had 1 outbreak, but i cant be sure it was that, it was like a red dit about 1 cm and it was there for a day or so i think.

for years what i thought it was herpes but it was actually PPP and Sebaceous Prominence but my penis still gets a little bit red everynow and then, mainly on the head and below it.

ive been avoiding sleeping with my g/fs and taking it far because of the fear that i will pass it on

is it unusual to just have the odd spot of general redness, or does it mean i have an std??

if it helps to define the problem i get colds alot, and sometimes i get that "shooting pain" which people talk about

Re: still unsure

If you think you have herpes, you need to get tested. There are type-specific blood tests available.

The blister on your girlfriend's hand is unlikely to have been herpes, although it's possible. Also, the sore you are describing does not quite sound like herpes as a herpes outbreak would be likely to last longer than one day.

The fact that you get colds does not mean anything in terms of your herpes status.

Get tested, find out what you are dealing with! And good luck.
