Lightbulb Cranberries for Herpes - 2

Hello Everyone ~

Was just doing some usual Herpes research and I stumbled across an article, regarding treatment news for HSV-2, regarding cranberries....Does anyone have any facts or info., that they can share about this subject?

Always wondering, -ShinyOrn

I do a lot of research also and I have not heard anything. Let me know if you do and why it would if you can find out. I am always interested.

Re: Cranberries for Herpes - 2

Hey,
Very new here and a newbie with this virus, but Iīve been doing some active research as well. Not sure if you can quote info here, but I read several articles on the effects of cranberry on herpes. Seems there has been a study done fairly recently on this and the conclusion was that cranberry does have an effect on hsv-2. Doesnīt make it any less infectious, but prevents the viruses effects. They way I understood it was that once you have hsv-2 cranberry can make it break out less. You can find many articles on this study through the search engines on the net.

Always good to find natural remedies! I just wish I could get my hands on them, I live in a third world country and I canīt even buy zink or lysine here...never saw anything like cranberry juice in the stores.

But Iīm eating garlic by the tons

Sorry, I guess what it said was that the cranberry didnīt make hsv-2 less infectious but made it more difficult for the virus to penetrate cells. Hmm...so who should drink the juice, the oneīs who donīt have the virus I guess? Couldnīt hurt us "lucky ones" either

Well, I was being sarcastic about being lucky . Iīm new at this and totally still trying to come to terms with all of it, but Iīve found that humor is a great drug for many hard things in life. Some days nothing can pick me up, but other days I read these boards and some of the posts here have me laugh out loud, in a good way that is, people with great attitudes, humorous approaches and funny ways of expressing themselves. This is a great community, itīs helped me a lot in this short time Iīve been hsv positive.

Hope I didnīt offend you in anyway!
