Trials and Tribulations of Vitamins

I know I'm complaining and but jeez! Between the stuff I take to balance out my brain chemistry and the (count them!) 5 different vitamins, echinacae, garlic and lysine, I am plumb tired of swallowing pills! I broke it down and just took A, C, E, Zinc and - I forget what the fifth one is. You guys all know that I'm having a hard time getting this under control (no relief from obs since Feb. of 2004), would you suggest taking the individual vitamins like what I'm doing now or just taking a multi-vitamin? I'd like to hear what everyone has to say on this. Also, does anyone have any good suggestions for remembering to take these things? (I swear lithium kills brain cells) I forget things really easy....you have no idea how easy.

Before I jet outta here, I found a tea tree oil that doesn't sting when applied. I found it at the market near the facial creams and make up. I'm wondering if it's as effective as the tea tree oil I bought at an herb farm. Anyone have any input?

Hey,
I know I used to be real bad at taking vitamins, did that on and off. Since my primary though I´ve been taking them religiously. I don´t really know if there is a difference to my ob´s, hsv is still pretty new to me (3 months). But at least I haven´t gotten a cold (it´s the season here) and there might have been some other health benefits.

I take my pills in the morning, with my morning coffee. Make it a rutine, every day at the same time and it´ll be easier. Have the bottles somewhere were you run into them easily.

I used to take a multivitamin daily during the first few months after i got my very first ob, but now i only take the multivitamin when i'm feeling run down. I do take two garlic capsules daily, religiously!! I'm also taking astralagus in liquid form to boost my immune system. I dont take anything else, but i do try to get good quality sleep, make sure i have time for rest and relaxation, keep out of stressful situations and eat healthy and drink water. With vitamins, i always take them with a meal eg: breakfast or lunch, but never dinner time.

I too use tea tree sometimes, it's great for relief of stinging and burning etc. I have a liquid one which will sting abominably if used straight. I have also got a tea tree cream which can be used on genital/anal area to prevent, itching/irritation etc. I find it great to have around 'just in case'.

Thanks Audrey-B! I just started taking garlic. They direct you to take two with every meal. Oh sure like I'm gonna remember that! So I'm going to toss them and try another kind. Was the astralagus very expensive? I haven't searched for the red marine algae or the OOO.

There are just some days when I feel like spending all of this money on a not-so-very-perfect body is pointless. I know, I know, I know....think positive.

May not be a perfect body, but it's the only one you've got, or are likely to get, eh? I found that after I decided to love myself the way I am, I started feeling kinda proud of this short, lank-haired, tending-to-chubbiness body.
