About Garlic Oil?

Ok let me get this right you chop 5 to 7 garlic cloves and put some kind of oil over it. Let it sit for about 3 to 5 days, drain it and use a q-tip or cotton ball to swab the affected areas. What kind of oil should I use and do I have to drain it?

Re: About Garlic Oil?

I chop only one clove into quarters--just four pieces--and then put it into a very small container with a tight-fitting lid. Than cover with extra-virgin or virgin olive oil. Put on the lid, let it sit (no need to refrigerate) for two hours or so, and start using it. YOu do not drain it--the oil is what you swab on, not the garlic. The essential oils of the garlic will leach into the olive oil. When your sore is gone, throw it away. Make a new batch as soon as you think an ob is beginning.

I carry it around with me in a double ziploc bag, along with a ziploc of q-tips and an extra bag for trash. I can put it on anywhere in just a second, close it all up, and feel better fast.

Thank you so much backpacker and I'll try the same techniques and see what happens for me.

Re: About Garlic Oil?

Just wanted to add, what seems to work for me....
I put regular hydrodgen peroxide in a spray bottle and spray my lower (genital) area, it doesn't sting. But, then again - I really don't get sore or blisters. My ob's are more like a pinch/sting feeling, nothing to see visually.
I've also, used aloe vera gel, it's a green gel and is sold by the sunburn products. This I just glob on the area and it provides soothing relief, just kind of looks like I've been "slimed" down there,(lol) then I wear a panti-liner, for a drippage (word?). Both of these products are inexpensive and can be found at a drug store or even Walmart. Wanted to share in hopes, that someone else can find relief from this H-crap. Everyone is different and it may not work for you, but it is at least worth a try.
Hope this helped....-shinyOrn.
