I was recently diagnosed with HSV1 and 2 after a blood test, but have had it for about a year and a half. The reson for the delay in finding this out is because doctor after doctor that I visited told me I was fine and not to worry about anything because most of my symptons, although severe, were not visual.
Well during this time of unsurety, I took a bath with my son who was 3 at the time, he also drank after me while I was turned around and got HSV1. For about the last 4-6 months he occasionally complains about tingling in his genetal and buttocks area and sometimes says his butt hurts.
I need to know if HSV1 can cause syptoms like this down below w/ no evident outbreak. Or is it possible he p/u HSV2 from the tub a year ago.
I'm so confused and scared he is only 5 years old and has an entire life ahead of him.
If anyone is familar with this please help.
