Do recurrent herpes lesions bleed...like the cutlike fissures ?

No, but if you squeeze hard enough I'm sure you could make it bleed. If it is a herpes sore, best to leave it alone so you don't make it worse or increase the area of the outbreak.

over21 u state that u can cause the area of infection to increase - is that possible? if i have an area of my p**s infected and it touches my scrotum..will it go there?

When I goolged photos of H, I saw plently of cut-lookig lesions - not sure what that means - to mean it would suggest it could bleed, maybe due to dry skin crackign though

I guess I should have said typically they don't bleed. This virus acts differently for everyone. A typical blister will have a clear looking fluid containing the virus, if popped, the fluid will touch other areas close by, thus "possibly" making the infection area larger if not cleaned off. I'm sure there are times during an outbreak it can bleed, but it's not common.
