Is anyone else out there going through peri-menopause and this herpes thing? Some of the symptoms of an impending OB sound similar to some of the symptoms I get now and then from peri. ie-the leg discomfort, aches. That just seems to throw a new complication into the mix. I'd love to hear some feedback from another soul or am I the only "older" person (44) who manages to acquire this "lovely" virus. Having had only one, huge, horrible OB so far I don't have much to go on except what I hear from you guys. Thanks for the fantastic input everyone dedicates to this site.

Well I'm a 43 year old woman that just because infected with herpes. Leg discomfort, and aches is a herpes symptom too. There are men here that have mentioned these symptoms. I never had any of that strange leg discomfort and aches before the herpes outbreak. I also have tingling feet and about every herpes symptom I've ever heard of except for meningitis or permanent nerve damage that I've heard of some having. I have 2 sisters that have gone through menopause but only after they past the age of 50 did they start to have symptoms of that. I'm not saying it's not but I am saying that the leg pain and aches are common to herpes.

I'm 47 but have no menopausal symptoms yet. I've had herpes about 16 years now. I do get leg sensitivity (would not call it pain) before a severe ob.
