could this be herpes? - Herpes Message Board

hello
While I know nobody here can tell me for sure I would like to know what you think anyway so heres my situation.....

About two weeks ago I had what I figured to be another yeast infection so I got monistat and used that well during it itched reallllly bad so I couldnt resist and scratched a good amount.I then felt burning of course and when Id urinate it would burn more I noticed just inside the lips was small red bumps I figured ok prob from irritation.Well I dont itch inside anywhere now but a few days ago I noticed a itch outside my vagina in the middle right above the crease is where this itch was comming from so I look close there is white dried up stuff like puss maybe? clean it up and then I see a tiny red spot well later ,same day,I check again cause it feels tingly and it looks totay different! weird it looked like a tiny cut maybe with a bit of blood and now today there is a scab there? It is only this one thing and it never really hurt just itchy and a bit of tingle off and on but im worried.I only have sex with my husband and that isnt even very often after 5 kids lol does this sound like herpes ???????

Well it sounds enough like herpes to be suspicious. It could be something else...sure....but what you describe doesn't sound like it's not herpes. It could be that what you've thought was a yeast infection in the past has been herpes. It could be a bacterial infection too or an allergic reaction. Next time you have a gyno appointment, I'd have them run a herpes blood test just to put your mind at ease. Does you husband ever have something that he thinks is just from "friction" on his penis? That's all my BF though he had was an irritation and didn't think anything of it and actually I didn't really give it a lot of thought either. Actually I did think for a short time that the sore he had bothered me but I looked up herpes and the pictures didn't look anything like what he had so I put it out of my mind...UNFORTUNATELY

oh wow keeps well my husband has never mentioned anything about anything on himself I brought up this about me to him last night he just said "you should go get that checked" well if it is herpes he gave it to me! and HES GONNA GET BEAT DOWN! because that would obviously mean hes messed around on me.I have had so many yeast infections in the past but never have I had anything like a spot or bump or anything down there during a yeast infection or not.The skin where this is is pretty dry but I dont know if that could this ugh I am gonna call my doctor tomorrow and get an appointment.If I find out its herpes oh boy my husband will be living in a card board box if hes lucky enough! We have been together for yrssssss so if it is he had to of messed around.I guess I shouldnt all wound up till I know for sure but I dunno.Of course I wont say anything else to him until I find out though. thanks for the responce keeps

well they say you can have herpes lie dormant for years or what you've had all along is not yeast infection but really herpes OBs...it's possible. Many ppl have herpes and never realize and/or never have actual lesions...some just get tingling without sores and some still have the virus lying dormant and never have any symptoms but can still spread it. So I wouldn't get to assured your husband was unfaithful because there are lots of possibilities. Even possible to get genital herpes from someone that has cold sores (herpes 1 usually). Unless you have never been intimate with anyone in any way can you know for sure you got it from your husband. I know this is for sure possible to only be with one person you whole life but most people have been with more than one person in their lives. Heck there are even people that are virgins that have gotten genital herpes just from oral sex or rubbing genitals together.

Well I have of course been with others before my husband so its been about about 15 years since I was single and with anyone else would that make it still possible? and My hub well he as far as I know hasnt ever had a sore or scab or any irritation or anything on himself so I dunno.I really just need to get checked but if I have it I feel like I will lose it on him and really believe he did this to me see he did cheat on when I was pregnant with our first child so about 13 yrs ago. :shrugs: i seriously hope i will find its not herpes so I can relax
