herpes of the throat - Herpes Message Board

i need to know if there is any over the counter drug for herpes in the throat or i would have to go see a doctor... i dont know ***** type of herpes is it..i had oral sex with a girl about a month and a half ago and i went and have sex with my girlfriend who is now a month pregnant and she did a blood test and they say she had herpes in her blood.. she was haveing some itching about a week b4 she did the blood test and she thaught it was yeast infection...now i didnt have any outbreaks at all.. i just have a hell of a soar throat.. it pains to swallow sometimes and i cough up some yellow looking cold..my chest burns me some of the times and i feel like i want to vomit..
can you tell me how serious this is and what kind of medication i must get to get rid of it?
my pharmacist friend told me i should buy apo-oflox 400 mg ridd of it.. can that work??

you need to seek medical attention, that sounds if you may have herpes and got it from your unprotected oral sex partner, but you need to be extra careful with your pregnant girlfriend because she could pass that on to her unborn child. Herpes can be treated for its outbreaks,but i dont think theres a cure. But you dont have to have symptoms to have herpes, so seek medical attention
