Exclamation Keepsgoin/Happiness is...

Especially you, Happiness....
b/c it seems we both get the same type of o/b(?) with the small cut-like things..

I'm kinda confused as it seems that every time me and my partner have sex, ...even if i'm lubricated and ready..and we take it slow.. I seem to find a little cut in the same doggone place (at the bottom of the vag opening - closest to my bum). We don't get together as much as I'd like, but the last few times, I've noticed that I'm perfectly fine - no tinglies, no redness, no itchiness and I feel good (you know - you feel normal) beforehand. I thought this last time that I didn't 'rip', but when I checked later, even at first glance, I thought "phew - okay this time". But I looked closer and even though I was pink all over, I had a very small rip (last Monday). It was better quickly.

What the heck, you know? Is he just large and if we did it more often I'd "mold" to his size? Or... would it be fair that I'd have a surprise o/b each time we do it? I don't get it. Perhaps also maybe my sensitive skin doesn't agree with the spermicide condoms?

I haven't had a REAL o/b (1/2 dollar size blistery spot on my butt cheek) since January.... but I'm seeming to get this tear in the same dang spot each time we get together.

Its very frustrating. What do you senior vetran ladies think?
Thanks for your opinion!

Re: Keepsgoin/Happiness is...

Hi Philly,

Have you ever had what I would describe as a "no doubt/without question" outbreak in this area where you are getting the cuts? An o/b can be caused by friction, but I'm trying to get more info so I can tell whether this really is an outbreak or if it could be a friction irritation caused by sex. Does the area just feel raw or do you get the associated tingling in the area?

My DH and I don't use condoms but in past relationships, condoms were used (unfortunately not with the guy who gave me this ). Even though natural lubrication has never been a problem of mine, the condoms caused me to be sore, red and burning for a few days but I could tell they were not o/b. So to stop this from happening we used gobs of lubrication and it helped tremendously.

Regardless of whether these are outbreaks or simply irritation, I would strongly suggest using a lot of lubricant and see if it works. The spermacide condoms could also be an additional irritant but I guess you could try them with the lubricant and if it doesn't work, have him switch but still use the lubricant.

Re: Keepsgoin/Happiness is...

I really don't know what else to add to what Happiness is said. I know that my BF gets raw spots on himself from sex friction and he just always thought nothing of it because he just thought that since he'd had sex that it was just simply irritation. According to him...that's the only time he got an "OB"(that he didn't know was an OB)

I know that condoms can be an irritant to some women...try a different brand and like happiness is said, try more lub and maybe even try a different brand. Try an experiment with the lub...put some on yourself without having sex to see if it causes irritation!

Re: Keepsgoin/Happiness is...

Thanks for the suggestions and opinions ladies!

Happ - the first time I noticed an o/b (ever) it was a small blister that had already broken.. it was on the skin inbetween the v and my bum - - but not on the edge of my v. That was in 1999 while I was with the guy (actually my ex-husband/creep/a*ole) who gave my the virus.

I've never gotten a REAL o/b in the spot where I'm getting this small cut. I know that first spot is close to where this cut is happening, but.... <shrug> When I was with the ex, we naturally didn't use condoms. In fact, I didn't know that first ob was even an ob until we were getting divorced for reasons unrelated to the virus. That was just the cherry on top. Anyway - I bring that up because I don't remember ever getting an ob after that first one with my ex, and I never recall having tinglies or this kind of irritation with him (w/o condoms). He certainly never split me. He wasn't very 'gifted', nor did he have much talent or staying power. <sigh>

I don't recall this kind of cut/split before, but I was a lot younger then and I think my lubrication was different. With my current bf, I am sore afterwards, but not tingly or a deep burn. Its a general tenderness in the area - generally the good kind, you know? But I'm just paranoid now. LOL.. I kinda like feeling the effects for a day or so, you know.. but I wish I didn't have to worry that each time I get with him, I may have some kind of freakish/lite ob. I always check beforehand..its pink, normal looking, and never have had tinglies before during the day when we've gotten together. The little split/cut (whatever it is) will heal before I stop feeling tenderness. lol

I bought the regular lubricated condoms today (not the spermicide ones), and I'll see about making sure we can 'goop' it up if i'm having "difficulties".
Don't cha love hormones? Grrr.

Keeps Goin, may have to experiment as you suggested. That's a good idea. This lube I have is the KY with spermicide, but I'm sure it must be diff than the spermicide on the 'old' condom if one irritates me and the other doesnt, eh? BF may like this experiment. ha ha (hearing about it anyway) guys can be such weirdos, ya know? LMAO
