| newly diagnosed and looking for information
Hi~ I am newly diagnosed with HSV 1 in my groin and on my rectum. I had my first outbreak and it was horrible. My regular doc misdiagnosed it and thought it was a fungal infection. I ended up going to my obgyn, who sent me to the er because it was so bad. I saw an infectious disease specialist who took cultures and i tested positive for hsv 1. The thing I am having trouble with is finding information to answer my questions. Any suggestions on good web sites that have good information. I have no idea how i got this and want more information about things like how long does it take to break out after exposure. I have been married and faithful for 11 years and in my heart of hearts I believe my husband has been as well. I am horrified. they are also thinking I have that side effect where you have nerve pain and I was wondering if anyone else has that and what has been your treatment? Thanks for reading.
