So Ive spent countless hours reading abt this virus. And from what I can remember certain things affect women and men differently? Like medicines and ointments ...

So I guess my question would be for the females, what helps? I will not use perc drugs. Im vegetarian and everything I eat/use is organic. Im looking for natural remedies. Things that help you.... something to try!! Thanks

Be patient. Maybe the people who read it just don't have the answer you want!!

Sometimes it takes a couple days...

I can tell you to eat Nachos, but I don't think that's what you want to hear!

While you are waiting, try reading some past posts. There are lots of comments from lots of different people about therapies that they have tried.

I'll be honest and say that I have tried many things in the past that have not helped much. Herpes is different for everyone, so you'll have to try experimenting.
As of now, I follow a pretty good routine. I sleep in guys boxer shorts which allow me to air out so there's no moisture (sorry about the graphics!!) and wash them every time I wear them. In the mornings I take a shower and I wash below with a non-scented old-fashioned lye soap (works miracles for an itch!) which I ONLY use there, and I don't dry there with a towel. I wipe that area dry with toilet paper so as not to transfer any moisture to my towel (so to avoid spreading anywhere!) and then wash my hands before I start getting ready for whatever. If I feel like I'm about to have an outbreak, I dilute tea tree oil with water and apply it topically to wherever I need to. It seems to work pretty well.
As for supplements, I take a women's immune system multi-vitamin, L-Lysine, and fish oil. I've heard that helping your immune system is the best fight, so that's what I focus on. Hope this helps some!!

Nachos actually dont sound half bad. Sorry if that post sounded impatient, just trying to get some advice. I've read tons of posts on here, and have taken a bit from each of them. I guess I was just trying to get women specific answers. Whats worked, what hasnt so I know what to try. I didnt even know where to start. Thanks for the reply though.
