I would get a copy of your test results. Without knowing the numbers, it's really hard to say what they mean. Once you get the numbers tho', there are a few people on this site who are very good at explaining test results.
By the way - herpes is a permanent virus in your system. There is no "had the virus", once you have it it's a gift for life. If your bloodwork does indicate that you have herpes, there is no way to tell when you acquired the virus , so the terminology "prior infection" is kind of misleading. It simply means that you've had the virus for over 3 - 4 months, as that's how long it takes for a blood test to come back positive.
