Worried!

I have been with the same guy for 3 years now. We have been sexually active for all 3 years. I have never been with another person, and he hasn't either. As of 1 week ago I developed a pimple-like growth on my inner thigh and then on my pubic bone where the hair grows. Now, I do shave there, so I figured I had an ingrown hair. They have a white middle with pus though like a pimple. I popped them. Now I have two fresh ones next to the one I popped a week ago... they tingle a little and sting... I also have a few very very small ones on my inner thigh. And strangly enough I think I got one on my leg down by my ankle. I'm worried I have herpes but it just doesn't make sense.
The 3 on my pubic bone are close but not touching. They didn't crust over and they look NOTHING like the herpes pictures I've seen on the internet.
I'm making a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I just want someone to clarify for me...
How possible is it that I have herpes if I have been having sex with the SAME guy for 3 years who doesn't have Herpes.
Do the blisters sound like they are herpes blisters... or just ingrown hairs or pimples?
If I have herpes.. I don't know how. Just wondering WHAT ELSE it could be I suppose....
ugh....
thankyou....

Re: Afraid something is wrong... down there...

Shan,
It sounds to me like you have Molluscum bumps. I had these a few years ago on my inner thighs. They are highly contagious if they pop. When you popped the others, I bet the virus spread and that's why more of them have come up. Look up pictures of these bumps online and compare them to yours. It may not be what you have, but it sounds identical to the situation I was in a few years back. I've read about several different treatment methods. My gynecologist treated mine and all he did was get the core of the bump(which is the virus itself...the bump is just your body's reaction to the virus) out with a needle. It's better to let your doctor do it than to try it yourself b/c a dr. can usually do a better job of keeping it from spreading. My bumps then scabbed over and were completely gone in a couple of weeks. It has been over 2 years now and the bumps have not come back. Let me know how your appointment goes. Good luvk with everything!

Re: Worried!

This may or may not be herpes. It is impossible to diagnose someone over the internet, and most people here won't even risk suggesting any option except to go to your doctor - which you are already doing.

However, it terms of the possibilities - although genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease, many virgins have the virus. Because the majority of people don't know they have herpes (oral or genital), the possibility of transmission is that much higher. Just because you or your husband have never been with anyone else, doesn't mean that either of you couldn't have the virus. It can be transmitted from oral to genitals. Oral herpes are cold sores. If either of you have EVER had a cold sore, then you have herpes. Most people don't know this. As well, I'm guessing you've both kissed other people - either platonically or not. You can contract the virus from someone, even if they aren't showing symptoms. So let's assume that one of you has oral herpes. This can then be spread to the other via oral sex.

That's just a scenario - I'm not suggesting that you do or don't have herpes. The best thing you can do is go get tested. Incidentally, generally STD tests don't include herpes testing. So when you say your guy doesn't have herpes... has he ever asked specifically for a herpes test?? You have to, otherwise doctor's won't test you for it. When you go, ask for a HerpesSelect test. Have him swab your sores, and you might want to have a blood test done as well.

Good luck

Re: Worried!

After going to the doctor to find out what you really have, I suggest you see a mental health professional....I have read your other posts and you are way to paranoid about your health.
