My story is that I've been married for 8 years and my wife has recently asked for a divorce. She new that I had H before we got married and she has never had an OB. my question is can she be a carrier and could she pass it on to someone else, is there a way to be tested even if you have never had an OB. Any info would be great, thanks

She might have it but be asymptomatic, which is the case in most people who have herpes. She should get a blood test, which will tell her if she has it even if there is no outbreak symptoms.

Tell her to get her doctor to order a type-specific blood test, preferably the Western Blot test. It's a bit pricey compared to others, but it's considered the most reliable/accurate of the blood tests and will determine type-2 versus type-1.
