If you have herpes in the genital area only (which you describe in your other post), it's not going to show up with symptoms in the ear or head area. The only scenario I can think of is if you somehow picked it up in both locations at once (not out of the question but the most likely either) and your body is reacting to it in both cases with swollen glands...in this case, around the ears as well as the groin.

However, I've heard of a flu virus going around right now that can give symptoms of an ear infection, so that might be the more likely cause of what you have. But I am not a health professional; you should still see your doc.

Good luck!

I've just gotten over the flu, and I got an ear infection with it. That could be what happened to you, too.

Anything is possible, but I have not ever heard of a herpes ear infection. I just did an MD Consult search on "Herpes Otitis" (which is what a herpetic ear infection would be called) and it turned up nothing.
