I believe they can be confused, since they both can create skin irritation and itchiness. Herpes symptoms like that are less common than the classic blisters but it can happen. A swab test should be able to diagnose if you have a yeast infection.
i know that when i have an ob the symptoms are different then when i have a yeast infection. i guess that everyone experiences different symptoms. i do know that with my ob's i do not have the itching what goes with a yeast infection.
