herpes 1 and herpes 2?? - Herpes Message Board

I was diagonsed with both herpes simplex 1 and 2. what is the differece between them and is that really bad to have both or common?

I cant remember which one is which but one is for cold sores and the other is genital...even though you can get either in each place...the dr I saw said it doesnt matter which one you have only where you have it...but I think it does, I think I have the one from cold sores on my genitals since I get very few outbreaks that are barely noticeable...I got diagnosed last year and had an outbreak twice in one month and then never again...so far...both outbreaks were nothing...
