Hi,

I'm a male and I received unprotected oral sex from a female prostitute 6 days ago, the biggest mistake of my life, I didn't know I could get the STD's from oral sex.

Anyway the tip of my penis has been stinging for 2 to 3 days and some parts of my penis is red. Are these signs of herpes?

If there was no visable signs of sores in the mouth is the chance of getting herpes lower?

Hi NotSure,

Yes, it is possible to get genital herpes from someone who has oral herpes, even if they don't have any visible symptoms. Whether that's what is causing your symptoms, I can't say. You really need to see a doctor and see what s/he says. There are a number of things that might be causing your symptoms, for instance a yeast infection. Clearly something's going on there. Best to see the doc about it. Good luck! I hope it turns out not to be herpes. Let us know how you make out.

My boyfriend had a cold sore on his lip for about a week or so. A few days after it had cleared up, we fooled around, and the next thing I know, I got genital herpes! Not knowing what they were right away, we fooled around again and he got genital herpes. His symptoms were basically non-existant, until we looked very closely. He had 3 or 4 tiny little red spots on the base of his penis. They look like little raw, skinless spots. As far as pain went, he had none. I,on the other hand, could hardly walk,sit,stand,lay-down,exist until the meds kicked in. BE CAREFUL!!!! I didn't think of a cold sore as an STD and now it's something I have to deal with FOREVER!
