my symptoms, please help - Herpes Message Board

Hi,

im new to this forum, and i was just wondering if anyone has any information for my problem if they could please give me any help they can. about three days ago, i noticed that the shaft of my penis became very dry, red, and particularly itchy. i am a virgin and have never had any type of sexual activity (intercourse, oral, etc.) i have not noticed any bumps that are associated with herpes, but am afraid that this is what it could be. i havent consulted a professional yet. it has been happening now for three days and hasnt lessened in redness, but it has lessened in itchiness. ive been lotioninig in order to stop the dryness. please reply if anyone has any information to help me out, thank u very much. by the way, i looked at some pics of herpes and it doesnt seem to look like this, but im still afraid.

The symptoms that you are experiences does not necessarily point to herpes. Have you been swimming lately, or in dirty water, are you in a hot or humid area, what kind of lotion have you been using... I am confused, if you are a virgin- why you suspect you might have herpes. I would go to a Dr. for an exam and they can better tell you whether to get tested for stds.
