I've had HSV-2 for a year on october the 1st.
I took the initial 10 day valtrex, that didn't help becuase symptoms persisted for about 5 weeks.
anyways, I have not had an outbreak since then. I've taken no medication.
Anyways, My girlfriend got it at the same time I did or, she gave it to me, she was raped at a party basically and was ashamed to tell me, so we both ended up getting herpes from some scumbag.
She had her second out break about 2 months ago, so she went 10 months without an outbreak also, with no meds.
I must emphasize that I've been sick a few times, I don't eat right, I smoke, I suffer from anxiety and depression and between work and school combined I am putting in 17 hours a day 5 days a week, and getting 6 hours of sleep a night because of this. So I have much stress.
and still no full on outbreak. I've had some irritation every now and then but I don't know if it is herpes or just my mind or maybe irritation from vigorious sex .


So thats the background.
now, here is the question with my story in mind. My woman and I really miss performing oral on eachother.
How safe would it be to give her oral sex, if she was on some sort of suppressive therapy or lets say health store stuff (lysine, garlic, ect).
I read that if you are on suppressive therapy and don't have herpes, it is harder to get it. Also, what if I am careful, and clean off my tongue with something like mouthwash or whatever imediatly after giving her oral for lets say a limited time of about 5 minutes duration.
would this help reduce the risk of me contracting in the mouth?
same for her.
Also, another little bit of info, her and I broke up for a few weeks, a few months back. She had sex with a guy, unprotected (stupid I agree), He apparently performed oral sex to her also, and he contracted genital HSV-2 from her, but did not get oral HSV-2 from her. She started an outbreak about 3 days after they had this sex encounter.
So whats up with that?
Anways, please help me, I miss performing and getting oral. Do any of you have any success stories or advice?
