That my family physician told me (when I contracted herpes 2 years ago) that there is actually a 25% chance of curing it if you get to it right away? I know that didnt end up being the case for me, but just thought that perhaps some of you who think you may have it should get to the dr fast and maybe you can be one of the lucky 25%...if that is true...

did you question how this is done??? if it is true, why doesn't he share this info with the rest of us??

OMG! i was told virtually the same thing! i thought i was being lied too.
i did the Valtrex in high doses for 10 days just a day after what was diagnosed as an OB (even though my culture came back negative).
could this really be true? is there any info online to back this up?

I have a friend who is a medic in the army, and he was telling me about when him and his friends have went to tiuana to these houses of illrepute so to speek. I told him i hope he wore protection, and he said that when he gets drunk he gets a little crazy so he does'nt, but that he takes precautions and doses up with doxycilan for chlamydia, and certain other things for others and acyclovir for herpes the day before he goes. I told him i thought that was just to treat outbreaks and supress them, and he said that he had been hearing that if u have taken it before your exposed and keep up the dose for a week or so after like he does it could be used as a preventive measure. As far as i know he is still clean, i would be worried about HIV if i were him though i guess he is counting on that 1 in 1000 chance thing.
